Dixon No. 2 Pencil

I meant to add that this pencil sharpens very nicely because of the cedar wood used.

  1. Yes I'd like to see more of these, please.
I have a couple of Dixon stubs left but I haven't seen them about since the demise of Woolworth's. They sold them in six packs for less than the price of one tradition.
Dixon's Ticonderoga (supposedly Roald Dahl's favourite) is available form Cult Pens in the UK

  2. I wish I'd known about Woolies selling them as I'd have bought a few dozen. My wife bought some pencils from Woolworth's but only their own-brand red pencils, one or two survive in my collection maturing until I can feature one in a future Stationery Archeology slot.

  5. I think these were 40p each from the local University shop, but they may have been less. Doing a little research, I think they’re just unbadged Dixon Orioles. 1892store has a half-gross of Orioles on eBay for the equivalent of 25p each. I’ve got no affiliation with the seller beyond being a very happy customer.
